As New Mexico leads the nation in holding platforms accountable, schools are tasked with teaching digital safety. Legal action can punish and reform platforms after harm occurs; prevention education teaches students, families, and educators how to navigate technology safely, ethically, creatively, and in real time before harm occurs.
