1. Immediate 72-Hour Plan
The Practical Reality
This is no longer just a school transfer. Treat it as a combined safety incident, interstate custody/residency shift, school-record transfer, and possible Tennessee juvenile/police matter. That does not mean panic. It means slow down, document, verify, and move through the right channels.
Tonight / First Night He Is Home
■ Confirm Westyn is physically with you, has eaten, has water, has a place to sleep, and is not being interrogated while exhausted.
■ Keep the environment calm. No long arguments about Tennessee, no blaming, no repeated questioning while he is dysregulated or tired.

■ Ask whether he has any current medications, whether he missed doses, whether he took anything today, and whether he has injuries, pain, panic symptoms, or needs urgent care.
■ Save all travel records: flight confirmation, ticket number, boarding pass, Priceline receipt, American confirmation code, flight-change screenshots, and pickup time/location.
■ Start a single incident log with dates/times. Do not rely on memory. Write facts, not conclusions.
Next 24 Hours
■ Call New Mexico Crisis & Access Line or 988 for guidance even if he is currently calm. Explain there was a reported suicide threat in Tennessee, law enforcement involvement, and an abrupt interstate return.

2. Safety and Mental-Health Protocol
Because a suicide threat was reportedly made and not immediately documented to you, the safest position is to treat the report as potentially real until verified. You do not have to accuse anyone or escalate the drama. You do need to ask direct questions, reduce access to lethal means, and obtain professional guidance.
Red Flags That Require Immediate Emergency/Crisis Help
■ He says he wants to die, kill himself, disappear, or has nothing to live for.
■ He describes a method, plan, access to means, timing, or says he already attempted.
■ He runs away, threatens to run, or cannot agree to stay physically safe.
■ He is intoxicated, withdrawing, disoriented, hallucinating, manic, severely agitated, or unable to sleep for an extended period.
■ He becomes violent, threatens another person, has a weapon, or is destroying property in a way that creates danger.
■ You cannot supervise him safely at home.
Direct Questions That Are Appropriate
These questions are not "putting ideas in his head." They are standard safety-screening questions and are better than vague reassurance.

1. "Are you thinking about killing yourself or hurting yourself right now?"
2. "When you said you were going to be gone / disappear / end things, what did you mean?"

Medication, Substances, and Sleep Cautions
1. Do not start, stop, double, or restart psychiatric medication without a prescriber's guidance, especially if doses were missed or the medication history is unclear.
2. If he has prescribed medication, document the medication name, dose, prescriber, pharmacy, last dose taken, missed doses, side effects, and whether the medication is in Tennessee or with him.
3. Avoid alcohol, THC, other cannabis products, recreational substances, and sedating supplements during the immediate stabilization period. These can worsen impulsivity, mood swings, panic, sleep disruption, and judgment.

6. School Transfer Plan: Munford/Tennessee to Farmington/New Mexico
The school issue needs to be handled cleanly, but it is not impossible just because there are only a few weeks left.
